About Us

Little Fish Marketing is a Native American, female-owned creative marketing, advertising,
and strategic communication agency.

SHANA J. BRENNAN is a product of the (Native American Relocation Act of 1956.) Her mother, Pearl J Bedoka, was removed from her family, tribe, and native land of Oklahoma in 1956 and placed in California. The ACT intended to encourage young Native Americans to leave their reservations and traditional lands to assimilate into general urban areas.

Overall, the relocation had devastating long-term effects. Relocated tribe members became isolated from their communities and faced racial discrimination and segregation in their newfound society. Many found low-paying jobs with little advancement potential. In addition, they suffered from the lack of community support and the higher expenses typical for urban areas. PJ remained in California: she could not afford to move or travel back to Oklahoma. Eventually, PJ married and had two children but sadly ended up divorced, raising two children alone in Los Angeles without the support of family.

Fast forward 25 years, Shana ended up in Atlanta via Los Angeles. She moved to Atlanta in 1995, she started working as a Radio account executive for Jacor Communications. After spending many years in radio, she moved into Television advertising at Comcast Spotlight. While at Comcast Spotlight, she met Catherine Martin. Shana and Catherine have over 45 years of experience in marketing and advertising experience.

Shana is a highly accomplished Marketing and Strategic Planning professional with a demonstrated record of producing exceptional high-performing sales initiatives with deep insight into television, radio, digital and social marketing. With over 25 years of experience, she is a proven marketing and advertising leader.

Shana is proud to be Native American and proud to own and operate a female run small business. She often reflects on how hard her youth was being away from her tribe and family, with her mother struggling to make ends meet. Shana and her brother grew up without much but were incredible athletes. She loved running, dancing, and swimming; her brother loved swimming and track. Unfortunately, the funds were low, assistance was obsolete and there were no available programs to help support young Native American athletes. Little Fish Marketing supports NOTAH BEGAY III Foundation (NBSF) working to empower Native communities, one youth
at a time.
